Sydney Removalist Truck Fleet

Have you seen our Sydney removalist truck fleet on the roads or parked around your suburb?

If not, you may wish to know a little more about the vehicles that we would be using for your move;

  • Are the trucks clean inside?
  • Are they well maintained?
  • How large are they?

Access Furniture removals opened for business in 2010, and since then we have grown substantially based mainly on word of mouth referrals. Whilst we prefer to use our trucks, if your move requires a specialist vehicle (such as a smaller ute or van for closer access) we have access to such vehicles.

Sydney removalist truckAs of January 2016, Access Furniture Removals runs three trucks and one ‘RSV’ (Removals Support Van).

Access One, aka ‘Shauna’

Access One is a 25 cubic metre ISUZU NPR200 purchased new in 2011.

The name ‘Shauna’ comes from the wood paneling on the inside at the back which makes it look somewhat like a sauna!

  • Approximate dimensions: 2.4m wide x 6.4m long x 3.5m tall

Access Two, aka ‘Denise’

21 cubic metre ISUZU NLR200 purchased new in 2013. The NLR has a smaller, narrower cab than the NPR, which can make it a little cosy in the front with three buff removalists. Changing gear often means that the driver accidentally hits ‘the knees’ of whoever is in the middle, hence the name!

Sydney removals truckAll of our trucks have a pan specially designed for removals featuring hard wood floors, tying rails along the sides and ceiling and wood lined walls. They are also equipped with a large stack of removals blankets, port-a-robes for hanging clothes, spare packing materials available for purchase/rent, lounge and mattress covers and finally our tools, trolley & dollies.

Access Removals continues to grow and our third ISUZU truck is planned for delivery some time in 2015. We are looking at something larger for the next one, around the 30-35 cubic metre capacity. Let us know if you have name ideas!

  • Approximate dimensions: 2.2m wide x 6.2m long x 3.1m tall

Access 3, aka ‘RSV’ (Removals Support Vehicle)

Removalist van for small moves5 cubic metre Toyota HiAce LWB van purchased new in 2014. This is used primarily for all our packing jobs, and box deliveries & pick-ups, however we also use it to supplement the space if we have a job that won’t quite fit in one of the other trucks.

For example, Access 1 + Access 3 = 31 cubic metres. We have also used it as a ferry vehicle when access to the lifts is via a garage that is inaccessible for the trucks.

  • Approximate dimensions: 1.6m wide x 4.6m long x 1.9m tall

Access 4, aka ‘Bertha’ – the big one

Removalist truck for larger moves44 cubic metre ISUZU FRR500 purchased new in 2015. We had been doing a lot of larger jobs where we were sending two trucks so it was overdue time to buy a larger truck!

Access 4 is suitable for 3-4 bedroom houses and we have also done a few moves from Sydney to regional NSW.

  • Approximate dimensions: 2.5m wide x 9.0m long x 3.8m tall

Access Removals continues to grow and our business model would suggest a fourth ISUZU truck planned for delivery some time in 2017. At the time of writing, this is still a very long way off so I cannot say how large but it will probably be something small-ish, maybe 17 cubic metres!
